Seminar on Home Energy Grants & the Loudoun County Home Improvement Program Set for October 18
October 12, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Loudoun County will host a seminar on home energy retro-fit grants for low- and moderate- income homeowners and additional improvements available through the Loudoun County Home Improvement Program. The seminar will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, October 18, 2010, at the Sugarland Run Community Center, 200 Greenfield Court in Sterling.
Kelly Marrocco of the Loudoun County Department of Family Services will discuss the funding the county has received through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program to provide home energy retro-fit grants to low- and moderate- income homeowners in Loudoun County. The county can provide additional home improvements through the Loudoun County Home Improvement Program, which is designed to preserve and rehabilitate existing affordable housing.
The programs make funds available to low- and moderate-income families who currently own homes in Loudoun County that need energy efficient upgrades and rehabilitation. The EECBG grant provides energy upgrades according to recommendations from an energy audit conducted on the home. The Loudoun County Home Improvement Program offers loans that can be forgivable and/or interest free.
The seminar is free, but space is limited. Please call Kelly Marrocco at 571-258-3819 to reserve a spot for the seminar.
