Dialogue Event on the Upcoming 2015 RFP for Fairfax County Affordable Housing Blueprint Funds

Major Opportunity Includes Up to Approximately $12 Million in Funding, Up To 75 Project-Based Vouchers

Attention Affordable Housing Developers,

WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 28, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) is preparing to release the 2015 Affordable Housing Blueprint Funding Request for Proposals (RFP) for the development of affordable housing projects in Fairfax County. This opportunity is intended to address the goals and metrics set forth in the Fairfax County FY 2016 Housing Blueprint. This marks the first time Fairfax County will simultaneously release affordable housing funding and federal project-based vouchers for competition. It is anticipated that applicants will be able to compete for the project-based vouchers alone or in combination with the available affordable housing funds.

A “Developer Dialogue” event on this opportunity will be held Monday, June 22nd at 1:30 p.m.

The Developer Dialogue will be held at the Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development office, 3700 Pender Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030, in the HCD Center from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Space is limited: If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to 703-246-5260 or rha (at) fairfaxcounty (dot) gov.

*HCD intends to issue a draft RFP for comment in advance of the dialogue event on June 22nd; it is anticipated that the final RFP will be issued for competition on or about July 1.
