Loudoun County: Deadline for Real Estate Taxes is December 5

Bills for second half real estate taxes have been mailed to Loudoun residents.

Loudoun County Treasurer H. Roger Zurn, Jr reminds taxpayers that the second half 2008 real estate tax deadline is Friday, December 5, 2008.

Payments postmarked after December 5, 2008 will incur a 10 percent late payment penalty. The penalty date will not be extended for bills where assessment questions have been filed with the Equalization Board. Additional interest at the rate of 10 percent per annum will be added December 6, 2008.
