Loudoun Launches E-Billing System for Business Personal Property Tax Bills

-

April 8, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — In July 2010, the Loudoun County Treasurer’s Office was among the first in the Commonwealth of Virginia to offer individual taxpayers the opportunity to receive their personal property tax bills electronically. Since that time, more than 12,000 citizens have registered and received their personal property tax bills through e-mail.

Treasurer H. Roger Zurn is pleased to announce the opportunity for business owners in Loudoun County, who pay Business Tangible Personal Property Tax and/or Vehicle Personal Property Tax, to register for E-Billing in order to receive their semi-annual bills through e-mail as well.

The E-Billing option continues to provide a convenient way to deliver personal property tax bills to all taxpayers. Zurn said the program decreases the need for valuable tax dollars through reduced postage, paper, and handling costs, and, he added, it is also part of Loudoun County’s continuing “Green Initiative.”

More information, including links to registration and answers to frequently asked questions about electronic billing, is available online at www.loudoun.gov/ebill or by calling the Treasurer’s Office at 703-777-0280.
