RICHMOND, Va., Sept. 6 /PRNewswire/ — HHHunt’s Senior Living Division has opened its 22nd facility — a 74,000-square-foot, $10-million assisted living community featuring 80 residential suites in Midlothian, Va.

Located in suburban Richmond, “Spring Arbor of Salisbury” has exceeded its initial residency projections. It is the second HHHunt assisted living community in Greater Richmond.

HHHunt is a 40-year-old privately held real estate development company based in Blacksburg, Va. the company began developing senior living properties in 1990 following three years of intensive research throughout the Southeast.

“We saw a great need for high-quality caring communities for our region’s growing numbers of seniors,” said Jim King, president of HHHunt’s senior living division. “Spring Arbor of Salisbury is our newest, and we are very proud that it has enjoyed acceptance among our professional colleagues and the families that we are privileged to serve here.”

Sally M. Sperberg has been named executive director of the new Midlothian facility. She brings more than 12 years of health care experience to her new job and has added top area professionals, including registered nurses and recreational and social specialists, to her staff.

“Spring Arbor-Salisbury continues our commitment to the highest quality of care in a milieu that addresses what seniors themselves tell us they value and seek in a residential setting,” Sperberg said. “It evokes home by reflecting an extension of residential family life and reflects our market studies that
show people want larger living space on a single level with ample opportunity for family involvement in a true home environment.”

A special feature of Spring Arbor-Salisbury is a separate “cottage” area for residents with early-to-middle stage Alzheimer’s and related dementia.

Amenity highlights include: a sunroom, family-style dining room, informal cafe, fireplace-accented library, walking paths and a wellness center with fitness equipment, a beauty salon-barber shop and extensive emergency alarm, security and fire systems as well as a residents’ computer room.

Other HHHunt senior residences are located in Lynchburg and Williamsburg as well as North and South Carolina and Tennessee. Additional information is available on the Web at http://www.hhhunt.com.
