FEMA Does Not Condemn Homes

MIDLOTHIAN, VA - November 30, 2011 - (RealEstateRama) -- Some Louisa County residents are reluctant to register with FEMA for earthquake assistance because they fear FEMA will condemn their homes and they'll have no place to live. Many earthquake survivors have told Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) Community Relations teams, they have not registered because of this fear.

Deadline to Pay Real Property Tax is December 5

Leesburg, VA - November 22, 2011 - (RealEstateRama) -- Treasurer H. Roger Zurn Jr. reminds taxpayers that the deadline for payment of the second half real property tax is Monday, December 5, 2011. Payments postmarked after December 5, 2011, will incur a 10% late payment penalty. Utah Man Pleads Guilty in West Virginia to Charges Connected to Multi-Million-Dollar Mortgage Fraud...

CHARLESTON, WV - November 14, 2011 - (RealEstateRama) -- A Utah man pleaded guilty today in federal court before U.S. District Judge Thomas E. Johnston to charges connected to a multi-million-dollar mortgage fraud scheme involving properties at a Hurricane, W.Va., subdivision. Michael S. Hurd, 37, of Salt Lake City, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud. The defendant also pleaded guilty to mail fraud arising out of his involvement in a similar scheme in Modesto, Calif.

Triennial Recertification of Exempt Properties
