Norfolk, VA – November 23, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Each year at the Governor’s Housing Conference the Virginia Housing Awards are presented to recognize outstanding and innovative efforts in crafting effective solutions to the commonwealth’s complex array of housing needs.
This year’s award winners include a new category: Mixed Use or Mixed Income Housing Development, in recognition of the growing interest and demand for innovative and varied development.

The Governor’s Housing Conference is Virginia’s largest and most comprehensive affordable housing event of the year. The three-day event features workshops and sessions designed to help public and private sector representatives develop effective housing solutions in Virginia. Nearly 900 affordable housing advocates, providers, and policy makers gathered each year at the conference.
