Kettler Dedicates New Four Lane Road In Woodbridge To Improve Circulation And Provide Direct Access

June 4, 2008

Kettler, one of greater Washington, DC’s largest real estate development and property management companies, along with community leaders, elected officials and neighborhood residents, hosted a ribbon cutting and road dedication ceremony today for the new extension of Neabsco Mills Road, just east of I-95 in Woodbridge, Virginia.

Kettler has invested more than $5.1 million of the $8.5 million total project cost to connect Dale Boulevard and Opitz Boulevard. This new connector is 9/10 of a mile and is expected to relieve congestion on the heavily travelled Route 1 corridor. The extension of Neabsco Mills Road will provide an alternate route for commuters and serve as the entry point to the new Wegmans Food Market at Potomac Center opening June 8, 2008. Most importantly, it will shave critical minutes off the travel time for ambulances serving Potomac Hospital from areas west of I-95.

Neabsco Mills Road provides access to two of the three entrances to Potomac Club, a controlled access, master planned community which features 1,600 homes and resort-style amenities. Less than a half mile to I-95, Potomac Club was the best selling planned community in the DC metro area in 2007, with 209 total sales. The community is now 50% sold and is expected to be complete in 2011.

Kettler’s most recent contribution to Prince William County, the Neabsco Mills Road extension, will not only alleviate congestion and help save lives; it relieves the burden from tax payers to build new roads and helps to stimulate the economy with easy access to new quality retail opportunities.
