Triennial Recertification of Exempt Properties

Hampton, VA – September 6, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — In accordance with the Code of Virginia and the Hampton Municipal Code the owners of properties which have been exempted from taxation are being sent Exemption Retention Applications. The triennial review of exempt properties requires owners of exempt property to complete and return an Exemption Retention Application for each real estate parcel in order to verify that the properties still qualify for exemption from local taxation.

The forms must be returned by November 1, 2011 to the Office of the Assessor of Real Estate, 1 Franklin Street – Suite 602, Hampton, VA 23669
