Richmond, Va. (September 21, 2016) – (RealEstateRama) — The Virginia Association of REALTORS® celebrates its 2016 Award recipients. VAR conducted its annual awards ceremony in conjunction with the 2016 Annual Convention on Tuesday, September 20, at the Gaylord Resort at National Harbor. The ceremony celebrates excellence in various areas of real estate including property management, brokerage, and other business achievements along with notable community contribution.

Virginia REALTOR® of the Year: Recognizes a REALTOR® who has made proven contributions to the real estate industry through both personal and professional achievement and outstanding volunteerism.

Bradley Boland – Dulles Area Association of REALTORS®

Virginia REALTOR® Hall of Fame: The Virginia REALTOR® Hall of Fame honors a Virginia REALTOR® who has made extraordinary and distinguished contributions to the real estate profession and markets in Virginia over a period of twenty five years or more. Induction to the Hall of Fame is considered VAR’s principal career honor.

Robert Barton – Richmond Association of REALTORS®

Dewey Reynolds, GRI – Richmond Association of REALTORS®

Code of Ethics Leadership Award: Honors a REALTOR® who exhibits knowledge of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, arbitration and/or professional standards, and who shares such expertise unequivocally.

Clyde Cooper, GRI, CRS – Hampton Roads REALTOR® Association

George Rink Outstanding Real Estate Educator Award: Recognizes the Virginia REALTOR® educator who has made the most significant contributions to and exemplified leadership and service in real estate education at either the state or local level.

Rebecca Straley, ABR, CRS – Prince William Association of REALTORS®

Ann Swearingen Property Manager of the Year Award: Presented to the industry’s highest achieving association member engaged in the field of residential property management, with attention to professional development, business accomplishments and community service, and service to the REALTOR® organization.

Merlyn Banks, CPM, GRI – Prince William Association of REALTORS®

Virginia Manager of the Year, Sponsored by Pearl Insurance: Presented to a broker/manager recognizing individual achievement over a ten year period of time.

Tanya L. Monroe, GRI, ABR – Hampton Roads REALTOR® Association

Virginia CRS of the Year: Recognizes the Virginia Certified Residential Specialist chapter member who has made significant achievements to his local board, state association, community activities, and CRS chapter activities as a member over a five year period.

Dare Tulloch, CRS, ABR – Richmond Association of REALTORS®

Women’s Council of REALTORS® State Member of the Year: Presented to a REALTOR® who exemplifies leadership within local and state associations, and also contributes to the broader community.
