March 17, 2011 - (RealEstateRama) -- Norfolk Commissioner of Revenue Sharon McDonald has begun notifying veterans and veterans groups that guidelines have been established that disabled veterans will have to follow to apply for property tax relief on their homes. McDonald’s office will administer the program.

Capito has continuously highlighted the need to bring private sector capital back into the mortgage market while minimizing government support in housing finance. The portfolios of Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and Government Sponsored Enterprises Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have grown to hold more than 90 percent of all mortgages in the United States, placing the American taxpayer at risk. Since their bailout, the two mortgage houses have already cost taxpayers $150 billion and counting.

ARLINGTON, VA - February 16, 2011 - (RealEstateRama) -- The Arlington County Board today approved a $6.38 million Affordable Housing Investment Fund (AHIF) loan to help the Community Preservation for Development Corporation (CPDC), a non-profit organization, purchase and renovate Howard Manor Apartments. CPDC has agreed to keep the units affordable for moderate and low-income tenants for up to 60 years.
